The Kansas Pork Association staff is working to utilize Facebook Live as a fun new way to reach consumers.

The live feature allows the KPA to broadcast to their Facebook followers and interact with them in real time.

KPA’s first two live videos demonstrated how to make Pork Chili, and had a combined reach of over 30,000 without promotion. KPA plans to broadcast a weekly live video to provide cooking tips and recipes to consumers.

“Facebook Live is one of the most effective way to reach people on Facebook today,” said Jodi Oleen, KPA Director of Consumer Outreach. “Staying abreast of changes on Facebook allows KPA to optimize our digital footprint and make the most of our previous time and financial investments online.”
