Hope in the Heartland, a one-day educational summit, is intended to raise public awareness about mental health, substance use and farm stress. Topics to be discussed include challenges facing the agriculture industry, coping strategies, public policy and health outcomes. There is no cost to attend; event is sponsored by the Robert E. and Patricia A. Schmidt Family Foundation. Event will be held at the Fort Hays State University Memorial Union Ballroom.
