Fort Scott
The Holmtown Pub

Added by: Delta George, Fort Scott
Favorite Menu Item: Pork Chops
Comments: The Pub has the best pork chops I have ever had! For
$10, customers get a butterfly chop (easily feeds two), choice of
potato and salad. You won't find white table cloths and fine china
at the Pub, but you can find a tremendous chop at a great
value.
Iola
El Charro

Added by: Carla Nemecek, Iola
Favorite Menu Item: Although they have an extensive menu at El
Charro - I can hardly order anything but the Enchiladas Verdes! Two
cheese enchiladas topped with pork tips, cheese sauce, lettuce,
tomato, sour cream and guacamole. The pork is tender, juicy and
with the flavor of Mexico. Served with rice, beans and bottomless
chips/salsa. For less than $10, if you go away hungry, it is your
own fault.

Comments: Michael Beard is co-owner and chef. He purchases only
locally produced Duroc pork. He purchases the whole hog and
processes it all in house. He makes and cures his own ham, bacon
